A new rebellious alliance against the kings of the world, from the masters of AI to the rulers of nation-states. The peace they promise is nothing but domination: every agreement dismantles autonomy, rights, and resistance. Their regime is a permanent war. The future lies before us, clear: either the kings or freedom. The journey against the kings and their wars that began on November 15, 2025, in Rome continues, this time in Bologna, with two days in which movements, activists, networks, associations, campaigns, political and trade union groups will converge to address the challenges of our time: from war to the authoritarian turn and the overcoming of liberal democracy; from new capitalist development and the emergence of new kings and new subjects, to asking ourselves together what kind of society, what kind of Europe and what kind of world to build in the Spring that will spark.

About us

The National Assembly “O re o libertà” (“Either Kings or Freedom”) is promoted by the Social Convergence “Against Kings and Their Wars”, whose name is inspired by the “No Kings” movement that emerged in the United States in opposition to Trump’s authoritarian policies.

This convergence process was presented at a first national assembly held on November 15th at Sapienza University of Rome, promoted by a broad constellation of networks, movements, associations, and organizations.

Its participants are, among others, the No Security Decree Network “A Pieno Regime”, which currently includes more than 200 different organizations, and the European campaign “Stop Rearm Europe”, that brings together more than 500 organizations (https://stoprearmitalia.it/aderenti/), promoted in Italy by ARCI, Ferma il Riarmo (Sbilanciamoci, Italian Network for Peace and Disarmament, Fondazione Perugia Assisi, Greenpeace Italy), Attac, and transform! Italia.

O re O libertà – Bologna, 24-25 gennaio 2026

Una nuova alleanza ribelle contro i re del mondo, dai padroni dell’AI, ai signori degli Stati-nazione. La pace che promettono è solo dominio: ogni accordo smantella autonomia, diritti, resistenze. Il loro regime è la guerra permanente. Il futuro è davanti a noi, netto: o i re, o la libertà. Il percorso contro i re e le loro guerre iniziato il 15 Novembre 2025 a Roma continua, questa volta a Bologna, con due giornate in cui movimenti, attivistx, reti, associazioni, campagne, realtà politiche e sindacali convergeranno per affrontare le sfide del nostro tempo: dalla guerra alla svolta autoritaria e il superamento della democrazia liberale; dal nuovo sviluppo capitalistico e l’emergere di nuovi re e di nuovi sudditi, fino al domandarsi insieme quale società, quale Europa e quale mondo costruire nella Primavera che verrà.

Chi siamo

L’Assemblea Nazionale “O re o libertà” è promossa dalla Convergenza Sociale “Contro i re e le loro guerre”, il cui nome trae ispirazione dal movimento “No Kings” nato negli USA contro le politiche liberticide di Trump.

Questo percorso di convergenza è stato presentato in una prima assemblea nazionale lo scorso 15 novembre alla Sapienza Università di Roma promossa da un’ampia galassia di reti, movimenti, associazioni e organizzazioni.

Ne fanno parte, tra gli altri, la Rete No Dl Sicurezza “A Pieno Regime”, in cui si sono mobilitate oltre 200 realtà, e la campagna europea “Stop Rearm Europe”, che conta l’adesione di oltre 500 sigle (https://stoprearmitalia.it/aderenti/) ed è promossa in Italia da Arci, Ferma il Riarmo (Sbilanciamoci, Rete Italiana Pace e Disarmo, Fondazione Perugia Assisi, Greenpeace Italia), Attac e Transform Italia..
