The Devonport Dockyard is at the centre of Britain’s deadly nuclear weapons system. Devonport is also one of the most socially deprived areas of England. Devonport dockyard could be a major centre for wind and wave turbine construction. We’re calling on the government to say instead of wasting billions on nuclear weapons spend it on social welfare, and invest in creating highly skilled, well-paid jobs that don’t threaten people and planet.
