While wars and disasters spread, the world’s rulers and their oligarchs speculate and enrich themselves. Regardless of the trail of deaths they leave behind, the injustice, poverty, and environmental destruction, they continue to fight to keep alive a fossil-fuel capitalism that accelerates climate change already at its limit.
To stop the wars and halt Europe’s mad arms race, we have launched a European campaign against rearmament, joined by more than 800 organizations and associations across Europe. This coalition will hold a European meeting on June 14th, providing an opportunity to bring to the streets in Brussels the issues of peace and labor, which are affected by the choices of militarization and exploitation that even today see the European Union on the front lines, with its budget invested in weapons and a new corporate regime outside of all existing national regulations.
The StopRearm campaign in Italy has successfully constructed its own interpretation of the war, starting with the Palestinian issue, while also continuing to work toward convergence with other movements and networks, such as the one formed around the issue of repression, such as the “full-scale” network. We have participated alongside them and many other activists in building a convergence we have called No Kings, against kings and their wars.
This journey intertwines the many issues we face, and right now we are committed to defending the Constitution and opposing the Justice Reform, culminating in Rome on March 27th and 28th with a concert and a national demonstration.
All of this is extremely challenging for us, and for this reason, we also ask for your support so that the Rome dates truly demonstrate the presence of a concrete political alternative to the right-wing government.
We ask you to join us in your local communities to join us at the Together demonstration on the 28th and to contribute to the high costs of the two-day national mobilization against war, rearmament, and authoritarianism with a donation.
We cannot stand by and watch as they decide a future of death and destruction for us. The No KINGS Italia convergence calls upon anyone who refuses to bow to the logic of permanent conflict!
